Terms of Use and EULA

These Terms of Use and End User License Agreement ("Terms") govern your use of Nutrition Lookup, an Android app provided by Barzig Lab Inc. By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
1. License
Barzig Lab Inc. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Nutrition Lookup for personal or internal business use, subject to these Terms.
2. App Purpose
Nutrition Lookup helps users scan or import UPC, EAN, GTIN, and GS1 Digital Link QR codes and retrieve related nutrition information from public or third-party product data sources, including Open Food Facts.
3. No Medical or Dietary Advice
Nutrition Lookup is provided for informational purposes only. The app does not provide medical, health, nutrition, allergy, or dietary advice.
Product data may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, mislabeled, or unavailable. Always verify nutrition, ingredient, allergen, expiration, and product safety information directly from the product package and manufacturer. Consult a qualified professional before making medical, allergy, or dietary decisions.
4. Third-Party Data and Services
The app may use third-party services and public data sources, including Open Food Facts, to retrieve product information. Barzig Lab Inc. does not control and is not responsible for third-party databases, websites, APIs, product images, product descriptions, nutrition facts, ingredient lists, or availability.
GS1 Digital Link QR codes may contain URLs and optional product metadata. Nutrition Lookup parses the GTIN from supported GS1 Digital Link URLs and uses that GTIN for product lookup. The app is not responsible for external websites or content referenced by a scanned QR code.
5. Acceptable Use
- Do not use the app for unlawful, harmful, or deceptive purposes.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the app except as allowed by law.
- Do not use the app to bulk scrape, overload, or abuse third-party services.
- Do not misrepresent nutrition, product, or barcode data obtained through the app.
6. Ownership
Nutrition Lookup, including its design, code, branding, and related materials, is owned by Barzig Lab Inc. or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership rights to you.
Third-party product data, trademarks, logos, images, and content remain the property of their respective owners.
7. Privacy
Your use of the app is also governed by the Privacy Policy for Nutrition Lookup. Review the Privacy Policy to understand how the app handles camera scanning, image barcode decoding, barcode lookup, and local scan history.
8. Updates and Changes
Barzig Lab Inc. may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the app or any feature at any time. Updates may be required for continued use.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Nutrition Lookup is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Barzig Lab Inc. does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, complete, secure, or suitable for any particular purpose.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Barzig Lab Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the app.
11. Termination
These Terms remain in effect until terminated. You may terminate them by uninstalling the app. Barzig Lab Inc. may terminate or restrict your access if you violate these Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Barzig Lab Inc., without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where consumer protection laws require otherwise.
